• Seattle’s original neighborhood, today’s Alki, in West Seattle, is a very popular place. It houses the old lighthouse, built in 1913, which is still in operation, but much of this area consists of more modern construction.  Tall apartment buildings and condos, and restaurants somewhat resembling the east coast’s clamshacks, line the main street skirting Elliot Bay.
  • For two miles of sandy beach bordered by a biking/walking path, you can enjoy unobstructed views of the bay and the cityscape beyond. You’ll find parties and bonfires lining the shore at night in the summer.
  • The summer’s highlight is the Alki Music Festival, welcoming performers and their fans from across the region.
