Green Lake

Green Lake
  • The closest thing to New York’s Central Park district is Green Lake, located just north of downtown Seattle. The original homes built as many as 150 years ago have been custom remodeled to fit today’s lifestyles, and mix in with newer apartment buildings and condos.  The Green Lake Library has been preserved as well and is a highlight of classic architecture.
  • In Green Lake you will find all sorts of non-motorized boats and swimmers in the summer. Encircling the lake is an asphalt path for walkers, joggers and skaters.  And around the edge of the lake are all the things those people need to keep them happy – taverns, coffee shops and restaurants.
  • Nearby are tennis courts, soccer fields, and a children’s wading pool. Almost 324 acres of serene recreation is available to residents and visitors alike.  Annual events such as milk carton sailing contests, plant sales, and outdoor performances keep it peaceful and lowkey – the way they like it here in Green Lake.
