Phinney Ridge

Phinney Ridge
  • The hills rise north of Seattle, and then form a distinct ridge. On that ledge between Ballard and Green Lake lies Phinney Ridge.  Some apartment buildings, Craftsman, Art Deco and Saltbox architecture, mature landscapes, and spectacular views of the Sound, all make this highly walkable neighborhood serenely charming.
  • Just beyond the residential section is a busier commercial district, with boutiques, coffee houses and eateries of all sorts. And there is a lot going on here on a weekly basis, with interest group meetings and annual events such as Bingo Karaoke, beer and wine tastings, craft fairs and a Dia De Los Muertos Festival.
  • Gary Phinney bequeathed his private menagerie and a good-sized tract of land to the town to Woodland Park, now home to a beloved zoo on 91 acres.
  • With its melding of small town and funky downtown vibe, Phinney Park proudly labels itself “Just a Little Off-Center.”
