With a distinctive, hilly cityscape crowned by the Space Needle, Seattle occupies an isthmus surrounded by Puget Sound, Lake Washington, and, in the background, both the Olympic and Cascade ranges, studded by Mount Rainier. Home of Starbucks, Boeing, and the world’s longest floating bridge, Seattle is the most literate city in the country.
